Welcome to our Newsletter...

It’s September 15th– can Halloween be far away? Not if you believe the store displays. Summer, fortunately, isn’t over yet. Autumn doesn’t begin until September 23rd, so there is still time to hit the beach, stroll the sands, and have fun in the sun – even though the days are growing shorter.

It’s hard to believe the number of events that are scheduled on the town calendars, so check them out on Great Vacation Things to Do. Don’t forget to send in your favorite shore photos, check out our photo galleries, and read about all the great places to stay, dine, shop and see in this issue.

Tell your friends, your acquaintances, and even perfect strangers about this newsletter. Better yet, email it to them. It’s free! It will help everyone plan a great vacation. We should mention that we’re growing again – because every beach and bay town in the whole state of New Jersey is becoming part of the Great Vacation family. We’ll keep you posted on what’s developing, and you’ll soon be able to plan a Great Vacation of your own in some new places!

See the line-up of entertainers coming to Atlantic City in this issue. Check our fishing report, and see the attractions that are awaiting your visit. Read about our featured businesses, and plan your weekend getaways, day trips, and even your next vacation to the shore. See the article regarding our new services, visit GreatVacationShoreRentals.com, and discover the one website that will help you and everyone you know choose the best in vacation rental properties.

Why don’t we pretend that summer is starting all over again! It’s time to have fun “…down the shore!”

There’s a whole lot to see and do!

Sincerely,
The Editors

Cape May Stage
2007 Cape May Stage Schedule

“Going to St. Ives” August 22 – September 22
The story of two impressive women brought together by personal need but divided by political reality. Both women are intent on accomplishing the greatest good. One is the mother of a monstrous sub-Saharan African dictator who is in need of the healing services of an English eye surgeon.

Meet the cast of East Lynne Theater Company's
"You and I"

Where else have the actors performed? Where do they live when they are not in Cape May?  How do they get hired? What made them want to be actors? How can a show be produced with only two-and-a-half weeks of rehearsal? And the biggest question of all "how do they learn all those lines!"

Audience members will get the opportunity to ask these and other questions of the seven-member cast of "You and I," and director, Gayle Stahlhuth, on Friday, Sept. 21 immediately after seeing the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's charming production of Philip Barry's 1923 comedy.

For several years, ELTC has had this popular Q&A on the first Friday night of a new production.  For those who can’t make it to opening night on Wednesday, Sept. 19 and the party afterwards at Aleathea’s Restaurant, this is a wonderful opportunity for patrons and performers to talk.

The East Lynne Theater Company performs in residence at The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St. in Cape May. "You and I," the fourth out of eight productions this season, runs Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. Sept. 19th  through Oct. 13th .

Tickets are $23 general admission; $18 for seniors and those with disabilities and their support companions; and $8 for full-time students. Children ages 12 and under are always free.

"Tales of the Victorians," ELTC’s popular American short stories read on B&B porches, will be on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 4:00p.m. at the Cliveden Inn, 709 Columbia Ave. The price is only $7, and ages 12 and under are free. Call ELTC for reservations.

The production of "You and I" would not be possible without season sponsors Curran  Investment Management, Aleathea's Restaurant, La Mer Beachfront Inn, show sponsor The Cliveden Inn, and the generosity of many patrons.
