The John Wesley Inn An American classic, 1/2 block from the beach, on a quiet street in the primary Historic District, is the John Wesley Inn. This Carpenter Gothic structure was one of the original Stockton Row Cottages, built as part of the Stockton Hotel in 1869. The 300 plus room hotel was demolished in 1911, but the cottages live on to tell the tale.
